Life On Mission Together

Life has been a bit busy and I have been meaning to get this update to all of you but have just now found the time. Thank you all for being so patient with me. Your support and prayers mean the world.       – Ben

Hello Everyone,

It’s been about two month since my video projects have wrapped up from the summer, but God is still moving in mighty ways in this changing season of life.

As some of you may know, life has looked a bit different in the last few months. On July 31st, I got engaged to marry my best friend, Brittany. We got married on November 7th and are hoping and praying to launch into full time ministry with Adventures in Missions together, sometime in the New Year. For now we are taking time just for us on our honeymoon and will begin support raising again after Thanksgiving.

My role with Adventures requires a large amount of travel, flexibility, a sensitivity to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and the ability to “rough it” when mission trip living situations are uncomfortable. Not only is Brittany deeply passionate about reaching and caring for the least, lost, and alone, she is eager and willing to sacrifice comfort for the sake of her calling as well.

Together, we are creating a shared vision for what ministry and life will look like as a married couple. I wanted to introduce you to Brittany, because she will be deeply involved within my ministry going forward, as we will be traveling together to tell God’s stories and do his work on the mission field.

God has opened up a perfect role for Brittany that fits her unique gifts and passions, and is capable of being completed from the various locations that my role might take us.

We are absolutely blown away by God’s faithfulness to us in the chaotic and seemingly hostile world we find ourselves in, and we are excited to be ministering to people side by side. Please pray that God will give us wisdom and discernment as we navigate the dynamics of our marriage and life on the mission field.

Without few to due, Here is a little about Brittany:

I’m 24 years old, and I grew up in a town called Kingsland in Southeast GA. There, I began working at a local Chick-fil-A and commuted from home to the College of Coastal GA for a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. Staying local for college rather than leaving gave me the flexibility to also pursue international missions.

I’ve always enjoyed meeting new people, building new relationships, serving others, serving with others, and watching God do things I couldn’t even imagine, so the mission field was totally my element whether that was at Chick-fil-A or in a Palestinian refugee camp. In 2018, I began graduate school for a Master’s in Business Administration, and I decided to move to Gainesville, GA, to pursue employment with a real estate company who also managed a ministry. While in Gainesville, I was able to still stay connected with a local Chick-fil-A, so I worked both jobs for a while until I decided to commit full time back to Chick-fil-A as a Director. For 3 years, I worked at the Braselton location where I was stretched and grown in many areas.

Throughout my time there, I was constantly praying for a long-term vision of my future. I knew there was potential with Chick-fil-A, but I also knew my heart was for ministry. I loved the company, but I wanted to pursue God’s calling for my life. I was just too afraid to step out of what was most familiar to me and be all in. I knew God was ultimately leading me in a different direction, but I was in a season of contemplation and waiting.

When I met Ben in 2021, I was amazed at his boldness to move across the country to pursue what he was unfamiliar with. He stepped into the unknown, but he trusted the One who knew. We started spending a lot of time together and having many conversations about each other’s personal goals, passions, and desires. I knew he was the one I had to spend the rest of my life with. After getting engaged, we decided we wanted our lives to be spent on the mission field. Ben was already on staff with Adventures in Missions and already in the support raising process, but there was so much uncertainty behind what my role would be on the road with him. I wanted to be involved with the short term missions that Ben was able to be a part of especially after hearing the incredible stories from his summer trips. After speaking with several staff members from Adventures in Missions, I was offered a position to be the Short Term Missions Setup Manager.

Once Ben and I are fully supported, I will be traveling with him to manage the logistics and ministry of the short term mission trips, and I am BEYOND excited to start this new role. I resigned from Chick-fil-A after being with the company for over 7 years, and I will be joining Ben in the support raising process. The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few, and we are so excited to step into life together, united as one, to accomplish and mobilize people for the great commission.     – Brittany

We are so grateful for your support and for all of your prayers this year. Brittany and I are so excited to step into full time ministry together, and we are both blown away by God’s faithfulness towards us, through our friends and family. We hope you all have wonderful holidays and we will continue to keep you updated.

Love,

Ben & Brittany
